Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease which needs long term treatment. The current treatment guideline is taking medication and behavioral modification such as diet and exercise. However, some diabetic patients still have their blood glucose uncontrolled. Home health care is another approach to help diabetic patients control their blood glucose in the desired level, but it is still not effective. The study applied Q methodology with twenty-three diabetic patients, who have been treated at the primary care unit at Dr. Hann Hospital in Yasothon. The purpose of this study was to classify the diabetic patients’ preferences on home health care by multi-health professional team. There were three accounts identified on diabetic patients’ preferences on home health care. 1. Patients’ preferences about how they could look after themselves when they have hypoglycemia and how to take care diabetic wounds. 2. Patients’ preferences about the update diabetic treatment information and the exchanged activities between diabetic patients. 3. Patients’ preferences about suggested diet in daily life and specific occasion. Public health officers could apply and use these finding in order to plan for visitting their patients at home. The recommendation for future research is to apply the results from this study on home health care and modified it as appropriate.
