The study aims to develop a Quit Smoking Community Network and Smoking Cessation Service through internet online. Additionally, the network will be served as a central hub for tobacco control campaign activities. Methods= the website was developed under the web address www.smileclinic.org. It contains different aspects of smoking cessation and tobacco control including, updated news and information, campaigning activities, smoking cessation strategies, patient case simulations, multimedia tools related to dangers of cigarettes and smoking cessation counseling skills. Especially, we provide clients with chat-room and web-board for those who want to share their experience of quit smoking to the others. Moreover, smokers seeking a proper way to quit smoking can enjoy a new experience of online counseling with health care professionals via video-call. All counselors are well trained to be qualified. The promotion of a new strategy of quit smoking community network to the public is also available on the website. Results= From an early pilot of the network since September 2013, it was revealed that there have been 30 clients accessed into the website. They all filled out the questionnaire paper. Overall, the findings indicated among those, most of them were males (80%), aged between 19 and 25 (50%). The attitudes towards the community network were mostly favorable. They recognized the dangers of cigarette related to health, unhealthy behaviors. Interestingly, most clients considered to quit smoking once in their life time. Nevertheless, some still misunderstood about the facts of cigarette harms. All these findings will help researchers to implement the necessity elements into the network to achieve the demands of the seekers who are ready to find an alternative to quit smoking.
