| The objective of this survey research was to develop questionnaire to measure alumni’s opinion toward the role of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UbonRatchathani University in supporting leadership for pharmacy management. The subjects were 10 hospital pharmacists who were graduated from The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences UbonRatchathani University during 1999-2009. Researchers developed the questionnaires from reviewing literature and asking expert’s opinion to obtain the final version of the questionnaire for the first round of data collection. The questionnaire had four open-ended questions. Data were collected data by sending the questionnaire by mail and electronic mail to those selected alumni. Data were analyzed by content analysis. The results showed that (1) the alumni perceived the importance of leadership in managing pharmacy department in many aspects e.g. collaboration with others, solving problems and creating confidence and beliefs, (2) they agreed that both the curricular and extra-curricular activities were not enough to develop their leadership skills. However, some curricular and extra-curriculum activities were involved in developing leadership skills, (3) they recommended to change the curriculum and extra-curricular activities to improve leadership in pharmacy students. The results from this first round survey can be used for the development of the final version of the questionnaire. |
