The purpose of this study was to measure the incidence of off-label drug use of Cetirizine and Loratadine in pediatric patients aged between 0-12 years. Pediatric patients were divided into 3 groups including infant (0-2 years) preschool (2-6 years) and school (6-12 years). Data were collected from Warincharab hospital database between January 2014 through December 2014. In this study, the definition of label use of Cetirizine and Loratadine is rhinitis (ICD10 J30 and J31), urticaria (ICD10 L50) sign and symptom (rhinitis, urticaria and itching). A total of 1,845 outpatients younger than 15 years old was included into this study. Of these, 1,053 were male (57.07%) and 792 were female (42.93%). The incidence of off-label Cetirizine and Loratadine use was 1,879 records (70.03%). The most commonly diseases both drugs prescribed were acute bronchitis, asthma, acute pharyngitis and common cold.
