β-glucan in mushroom has many pharmacological actions such as enhancement immune system, reduction of blood cholesterol and blood glucose, antiinflammation, antimicrobial, cancer inhibition and antioxidant activity. Therefore, this study was aimed to investigate the antioxidant activity of β-glucan extracted by hot-water soluble method from A. subresinosum, R. foetens and M. cambodgensis. The methods used were DPPH assay, ABTS assay, FRAP assay and FTC assay. When study free radical scavenging activity by DPPH assay, the result of A. subresinosum, R. foetens and M. cambodgensis showed IC50 at 123.57±2.05, 245.50±7.23 and 770.44±28.72 µg/mL, respectively. Their TEAC obtained from ABTS assay were 0.50±0.07, 0.20±0.04 and 0.07±0.01 mM/mg, respectively. The reducing power studied (FRAP assay) were 170.17±41.71, 39.56±9.23 and 263.58±63.83 mgFe2+/mg, respectively. Anti-lipid peroxidation of M. cambodgensis showed significantly higher than R. foetens and A. subresinosum in FTC assay. In conclusion, β-glucans of A. subresinosum, R. foetens and M. cambodgensis have good antioxidant activity.
