Title : Rate of Overriding Automatic Drug Interactions Warning System and Different Prescriptions at a Community Hospital.

Although the automatic drug interactionswarning system occurs in the automated dispensing systems of the hospital.But sometimes there are cancellations of such warnings.Objectives :To measurethe major and moderate severity ofdruginteractionsin the same prescription and to find the major drug interactions level of different outpatient prescriptions.Methods :Search the outpatientprescriptions that found druginteractionsin the same prescription and different prescription from the hospital database during the period 1st January to 31th December 2015. Based on information from reputable reference such as “Drug Interaction Facts 2009”. By the classification of clinical significance of drug interactions and using descriptive statistics.Results : From all 173,746 prescriptions were identified.Major and moderate severity of drug interactions are 1,379 (0.79%)prescriptionsand 11,516 (6.63%)prescriptions, respectivelyand majorseverity interactions of simvastatin and gemfibrozil in different outpatient prescriptions are the most common,20 fold (0.15%) from all 13,477 prescriptions. Conclusion :The override of automatic drug interactions warning system of major drug interactions from the same prescription and major drug interactions from differentoutpatientprescriptions were low.
