Community-based learning and case-based learning have been proved that it was the innovative approach to learning in the twenty-first century which in accordance with the policy and direction of pharmacy education in Thailand. objective:To study the effects community-based learning and case-based learning through pharmaceutical care by home health care activities in the community pharmacy course for 95 fourth-year students of the pharmaceutical sciences faculty, Ubonratchathani university. Focused on 4 aspects outcomes including professional skills, lifelong-learning skills, attitudes and satisfaction. Methods:This quasi-experimental and pre-post study design used Likert scale question for evaluate perceived outcomes of students.The reliability (Cronbach's alpha) of questionnaire including professional skills, lifelong-learning skills test, attitudes, andsatisfaction were 0.944 0.970 0.790 0.875 in respectively.The data were analyzed by SPSS. Statistical testing of mean different between pre-postscore used Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Opinion towards the course which it was qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis.Results:After course, the mean scores of professional skills, lifelong-learning skills test, attitudes were statistically significant higher than the mean of pre-learning scores in all item questions (P <0.05). The level of satisfaction of most students was high to highest level especially in they were satisfied with theirs teachers who work as facilitators. Conclusion:After course of community-based learning and case-based learning, Students have been increased of professional skills, lifelong-learning skills. Moreover, they have had better attitude towards the pharmaceutical careand satisfied with this learning strategies.
