This study aimed to compare clinical outcomes between patients with hyperlidemia who comply with medical appointmentfrom electronic database at Warinchamrab hospital, Ubon Ratchathani province. Patients with hyperlipidemia were selected with ICD10 code E 78.0-E 78.9. Lipid level and compliance with medical appointment were retrieved from laboratory and prescription database respectively. The results showed that patients who received gemfibrozil continuously had the same LDL-C, total cholesterol and triglyceride level as those who did not received the medication continuously. Patients who received simvastatin constantly had statistically higher LDL-C and total cholesterol level than those who received simvastatin inconsistently (p<0.05). Therefore using electronic database to determine compliance with medical appointment is not a valid medication compliance measure which in turn effects clinical outcomes.
