The purpose of this survey research was to study physical exercise behavior of students at Ubon Ratchathani University. Three hundred and eighty nine students were randomly selected by stratified sampling. The 56-items exercise behavior questionnaire was developed from a literature review. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. Average exercise behavior comparison was conducted by t-test or analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) and Scheffe’s method was used for post-hoc comparisons. The results showed that about 86.1% of students at Ubon Ratchathani University exercise regularly. Most students performed anaerobic exercise anaerobic (50.86%) whereas 49.14% performed aerobic exercise. The average score of physical exercise behavior of male and female students were significantly different (Xmale= 7.98 Xfemale= 6.67, p<0.05). No difference in exercise behaviors was found among academic majors, academic years and grade point average. The results of this research may be used as a guideline for university administrators to help students perform aerobic exercises appropriately for their health promotion.
