In vitro Drosera indica L. was regenerated from seeds using the condition of ½ MS with gibberellic acid 1 µg/ml. Production of plumbagin (PL) was determined after 3 and 6 days of treatment with salicylic acid, chitosan, methyl jasmonate and yeast extract, and performed by ELISA using anti – PL monoclonal antibody. The optimal elicitor addition and exposure time for the maximal plumbagin production was on 3 days of treatment with 100 µM salicylic acid which enhanced the intracellular plumbagin content of Drosera indica to yield 120.475 µg/100 mg of dry weight which higher than control and wild type by 1.78 and 0.21-fold , respectively.
