| To investigate water quality and water treatment in Ubon ratchathani university and community surrounding for develop to drinking water. Ten samples were random sampling such as one natural source and random sampling of five samples of water treatment in Ubon ratchathani University and four samples of tap water from community nearby Ubon Ratchathani University. The samples were analyzed in chemically and biologically properties in totally 10 parameters by compared with the standard of drinking water and tap water of Metropolitan waterworks authority, Those guidelines of WHO, 2006. In standard of drinking water, all samples were passed in term of amount of nitrate, sulfate and lead. In term of amount of chloride and iron, total solid, total hardness and amount of pH, the number of samples was passed in 8, 7, 6 and 4 respectively. All of the biological result was not passed standard both Coliform bacteria and pathogen such as Escherichia coli, Stapphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi and Clostridium perfringens. In the future, tap drinking water should be improved both of chemical and biological treatment.
